Default If "Buy/Sell," is not fix, GW will end!!

Dear GW,

I am going to make a bold prediction, If you don't fix "buy/sell" method in this game, your core gamers will slowly leave.

I hate "buy/sell" so much that I no longer care about collecting loots, when I do get loots, I just sell them to merchant. The economy of GW is in serious danger of self destruction. If you don't fix "buy/sell," the game has no meaning and all sense of the word, "economy" is doomed.

If you don't believe me, try to sell something in any outpost, it is social chaos. People are shouting, "WTS/WTB" to get anything going... are you telling that this the best you can do?

You don't have to fix the game. you don't have to listen to all the people in the forum begging for a better system, i.e auction, human merchant... but we DO NOT have to support or play this game.

V/r

Word of the day is: trading.

You want to fix the trading methods in this game.

And there are tons of these threads, and this thread doesn't look like a suggestion either.

Trading will always be around. I liked having WTS show up in the local better than what we have now, \/\/TS. Its just the way the game is.

Question: If a gimped trading system was going to make everyone leave, why didn't everyone leave 18 months ago?

/SIGNED. If there isn't a better trade system implemented a few weeks after nightfall comes out, I'm lead a boycott of this game. This is something we've been begging for since Prophecies came out, it's time to force arenanet's hand.

Unless someone can convince me as to why a better trade system would *hurt* the game. Good luck.

This has been discussed to death, but, despite that fact, the mess that the chat windows are in at the moment still annoys everyone and presently it's unavoidable. Turning off the relevant window(s) is not an option for every person in GW, and so for such people they deal with it, and a majority of the folk that do this are indeed core gamers. They're still here.

P.S. You signed your name wrong.

actually alot of the multi-millionaires have either quite or gave away all their stuff away.

Yes the trading is screwed but this was due to greens/increased drop rate, they cant withdraw greens from the game as that would be unfair to the owners they could decrease drop rate on gold items but that will only start off the whiners.

its a lose lose situation...get use to it

The good news is the players have done the best with the system that we have: only a select few districts in the major cities are plagued with WTS/WTB. Stay out of those, and you'll rarely see any kind of major spam.

But yes, we need trade improvements. This is nothing new.

Sardelac Sanitarium is a place for suggestion, if you don't have anything that can improve on the problem that you and others are facing, then this thread will surely die out much faster than GW might...'

Asking someone to fix something when you don't have a solution yourself... doesn't really help...

A good solution for this is to have a AUCTION Merchant, where the SELLER transfers the item to the merchant (places a reserve or no reserve) and the item is placed on a "auction board". people bid on it and when they win, they just retrieve the item from the merchant (not seller) and the money is automatically placed in the sellers storage box. Players would bid on item and money is deducted to the amount of the bid, to prevent fraud. if the bidder loses, money is refunded back to bidders storage account. Sellers should be able to close auctions early and whatever. They should also be able to sell items in bulk, like 10 ectos at a reserve and so on. People should also be able to browse the auctions to find specific items, Just like ebay or something. it would be great. --- however, I would suggest seperating auction merchant boards by town, to not have over crowded bogged down auction boards. multiple auction boards is recommended. Shing Jea Auction Board, Lion Arch Auction, Hzh Auction board and so on.

As for the value of items, Anet really screwed up on giving everybody and their mom the ability to get a "max" weapon. The next best solution to this is to up the max to next level. instead of 15-22 being the max for the sword, a new, however rare sword with lease drop rate say, 5-7% drop rate weapon at 16-23. and axes and so up upped 1point or 2points. Theres no going back on some items I guess.

So you're going to BUY Nightfall, wait two or three weeks, and then stop playing? IF it could be staged, it would be much better to have everyone stop selling, stop buying, stop running, stop trading, etc. for a week or so. All the folks who depend on the runs, buying perfect weapons, etc. will scream so loud in frustration, a system might be implemented. Either way, it doesn't have to be universal. A-Net could add a merchant's town in a future update or chapter, so it will have all the neat things people want in terms of trade, all in one little corner of the map.

As you've been told by our other posters, this thread needs a suggestion. More to the point, this subject has been brought up many times. A lot of people have gripes about it. You seem a bit alarmist on the subject.

Anyway, closing this. Don't use this forum for pent-up rants.
